Production

Free Guy began filming in May 2019, mainly in the city of Boston . In addition, some segments were filmed at other locations such as Worcester , Weymouth and Framingham ( Massachusetts ).

Release

The film was originally scheduled to hit theaters on July 3, 2020, but was later postponed to December 11 of the same year, due to the impact of the Covid-19 epidemic . Until December, the film continued to be pushed back to May 21 next year.
